In November 2014, the 2nd edition of the Cussons Baby Moments Competition
kicked off on Facebook with parents uploading amazing moments of their
bundles of joy in pictures. This edition saw a total of 298 entries
which is a 48% increase from the last edition of 202. The selection
criteria for Season 2 was in 4 stages, which comprised of a combination
of public votes and selection by an independent panel of judges.
The
1st stage was the determination of the top 50 with the highest number
of likes on Facebook. In the 2nd stage the judges pruned the top 50 to
the best 20 based on the personalities, appeal and fit to brand essence.
The 3rd stage took the shortlisted top 20 back to Facebook where the
public voted for the best 10.
In the
4th stage, which was the grand finale, the top 10 babies will be
presented to the judges and a live audience and the eventual winner was
decided by the judges.

Grand Finale took place on Sunday 1st February 2015 at Anchor Event
Place, Ikeja, Lagos. This year’s edition saw partners come on board to
support the brand. They included Kenyan Airways, The Audrey Pack and Prosoft Technologies Limited.
Morireoluwa Modesire Davids emerged the winner and won the grand prize of an all-expense paid trip for her family. 1st runner-up, Olaoluwa Caleb Adedeji, won a cash prize of N200,000 and a N50,000 gift voucher while the 2nd runner-up, Olajide Nathaniel Alufa, won a cash prize of N100,000 and aN50,000 gift voucher.
To ensure transparency, an independent auditor, Refined Network Int’l, verified the results at the end of every stage.
Special categories were also awarded to 7 babies. This segment was sponsored by Prosoft Technologies Limited, owners of SmartLearning. The awardees who won educational tablets geared towards improving the mental capability of children were:

All the 20 babies that made it to the 3rd stage of the competition got gifts from the Audrey Pack and Cussons Baby. These gifts consisted of Canon Cameras and Lenovo Tablets
to be used to continue capturing the baby’s exciting and amusing
moments as well as mosquito blankets to help reduce the risk of malaria.
All babies that qualified for the finale got a year supply of Cussons Baby Products and shopping vouchers in addition to their prizes entitled for making it to the 3rd stage.
The
winner of this year’s edition, Morireoluwa Modesire Davids, will be
going on an adventure of a lifetime with airline tickets for the winning
family being provided by Kenyan Airways. She will also be the face on
all Cussons Baby’s promotional materials for a year.
